Rock ‘n’ roll sister duo, Dog Party are a force to be reckoned with and they have no plans of slowing down anytime soon. Hailing from Sacramento, California, Gwendolyn and Lucy Giles have been slugging it out in style since 2007 with their unique brand of catchy, west-coast pop punk. With comparisons ranging from The Runaways to The Ramones to The Go-Go’s and The White Stripes, these ladies have already released an impressive 6 albums and toured extensively around the world. In 2016 Dog Party found themselves opening for Green Day on the North American portion of their Revolution Radio Tour. A resume like that shows an incredible drive and definitely demands respect.
Gwendolyn and Lucy are both uber-talented, multi-instrumentalists and they have an amazing ability to win over audiences and get the crowd moving. With their perfect blend of sweet melodies, uplifting harmonies, fuzzy guitars, big drums and a whole lot of attitude, the Giles sisters seem to have found the formula for success. Dog Party’s 2018 self-released ‘Hit and Run’ solidified the sisters’ as heavy hitters in the music scene. So far this summer Dog Party have already completed tours with Reel Big Fish and Bad Cop Bad Cop while they work on writing their next album which promises to be a scorcher.
Dog Party are currently the opening act on the North American leg of CJ Ramone’s ‘The Holy Spell’ Tour. It seems very fitting that Gwendolyn and Lucy play out the last few shows with CJ Ramone on what is supposed to be his final tour. The punk rock torch is being passed on and the future looks really bright.
