The Rundown
My old pal MoHo (A.K.A. MoHoles), was kind enough to send me this awesome MILF about a decade ago. I also remember the breeder, Xochipilli, from many moons ago. Both of these guys know powerful and unique smoke, and this one sounded so damn good to a sativa villain like me, I wanted bring it to you all. The Velvet Haze photos are by MoHo.
This variety is “one that got away”, from me, so to speak, and MoHo had sent me some seeds, but somehow, I lost them. I really wanted to try this one, badly. Truly, marijuana I’d love to find, personally! Just reading the genetics involved peaked my interests huge, and Moho’s description just made me jones for it even worse. Anyway, I hope you guys dig this blast from the past MILF. Take it away Moho…
Grower’s Description
GROWER: MoHo
This exceptional lady was sent to me by a buddy in Oregon, who made the selection several years ago from seeds created by a grower named Xochipilli; using a beloved Blue Velvet (DJ Short) female and an Electric Haze (BCSC, NL#5 x Haze) male.

Velvet Haze is powerful, heady sativa, that will not tolerate you being anywhere near a couch and may well send you down the rabbit hole if you are unable (or unwilling, due to its incredible aroma and flavors) to set the bong down in time. Not for those of weak emotional constitution.
It is a prolific producer of resinous, dense flowers with a distinctive aroma of sweet, exotic incense and perfume coupled with piney, menthol undertones. The sight and smell of an open jar full of Velvet Haze buds is irresistible … which does not bode well for your chances of staying out of the aforementioned rabbit hole.
Afterword with Rev

I wanted to show you guys these pots again to make sure you try them if you can. Grow Pro brand, Plant Warrior pots, I use 4-gallon ones. Make sure they are the square ones, with the aeration dome in the center—looks like an upside down net-pot. These are some wicked superior pots for flowering cannabis in, and especially for living soil growers. Two thumbs up for reals.
I found these pots at a local grow shop. The next time I went back they were sold out. I looked around online for quite awhile (in my own Mr. Magoo way) and found them difficult to locate, but I did in the end find them at one place online. If you do find a good reliable source for these pots online, please give me a yell, at: [email protected] … Thank you kindly.
Doesn’t that Velvet Haze sound like a truly exotic winner? Yikes, that’s my kind of cannabis right there folks. I hope you all enjoyed this Rev’s Rave MILF (Marijuana I would Love to Find) blast from la past; and a big shout-out to MoHoles. Rev’s Canna Crossword Challenge – answers to last week’s puzzle
There will be a new crossword puzzle in next week’s article, right here at SKUNK baybee. Below are the answers for last week’s article puzzle. These crosswords are fast to do, not too hard, not too easy, and you might even learn something—ya never know.

I'm The Rev, and I have been with SKUNK for about a decade now. I hail from Southern California, spent mucho time in Northern California, and now reside in Southern Oregon; always coastal. I am an all natural style cannabis grower and I have written a couple books on the subject - check out True Living Organics 2nd Edition on Amazon - I have been growing for over 45 years, and I have been breeding cannabis for over 30 years. Check out kingdomorganicseeds.com to see some exotic selections. Growing connoisseur cannabis is what I teach mostly, growing it in living soil without using liquid organic nutrients to feed the plant. I am also a highly skilled synthetics grower, hydroponics, aeroponics, DWC/SWC/NFT, Ebb and Flow, and soilless, but I cringe when smoking synthetic grown herbs, so for the last 15 years or so I preach the artisan style of all natural growing, specializing in container growing. Cheers and welcome aboard.
